The Sweeney is a drama TV show, first published in 1975 to ITV. The show got its name from 'Sweeney Todd' (mimicking the Cockney accent saying Flying Squad). It was produced by Euston Films Ltd and starred John Thaw, Dennis Waterman, Garfield Morgan and many more. The show is set in west London and the first episode, Ringer, was about how one of the characters, Regan, had his car stolen. However, important surveillance images of great importance were still inside. The culprit behind the car robbery saw these photos and alerted Sweeney's target, giving him a heads up.
